Boston Acoustics SoundWare Subwoofer Speaker - The SoundWare Sub is designed to look as good as it sounds. Its unique polyheadron shape enhances placement flexibility. Use it positioned tightly in a corner or flat against a wall. Additionally, it can be configured as a front-firing speaker with a striking angular profile, or as downward-firing sub without a traditional forward facing grill. The paint-ready cabinet lets you customize the appearance of the SoundWare Sub to either blend into your decor or stand out as a functional, sculptural element in your room. The SoundWare Sub is ideally suited for use in a high-quality 5.1 channel home theater or stereo music system. It's delivers impressive performance in a relatively compact enclosure using a high-quality 8-Inch DCD (Deep Channel Design) woofer coupled with a conservatively rated 100-Watt RMS amplifier. In addition, it features BassTrac, a proprietary Boston-designed circuit that tracks the input signal to the subwoofer and prevents its amplifier from being driven into audible distortion.
